FamilySearch recently expanded its free online archives with over 102 million new records from 22 countries. Some of the most exciting additions include nearly 88 million vital, church, and probate records from the United Kingdom. Researchers will also find nearly 12 million civil and church records from Mexico, and more than a million civil and church records from both Belgium and the Philippines. Other countries with significant record additions this month include Brazil, Colombia, Honduras, Hungary, Italy, Spain, and the United States.

Findmypast has made verified large-scale updates to its historical archives this June. In their latest releases, they added over 300,000 new newspaper pages featuring "new pages from Dundee to Derry." Findmypast’s June 2026 newspaper updates show multiple titles updated on 15 June 2026 and 22 June 2026, explicitly including the Dundee Evening Telegraph (updated 22 June) and the Belfast Telegraph (updated 15 June), confirming that their Derry region coverage is consistent with Northern Ireland updates. The platform also confirmed recent updates to major regional papers like the Lancashire Evening Post. Beyond newspapers, this week's update introduced over 1.4 million electoral register records for Portsmouth, Hampshire, and over 30,000 military service memorials.
